ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The Glenwood-Glen Head Garbage District provides Solid Waste, Recycling and Public Waste removal and disposal for more than 8000 residents of Glen Head and Glenwood Landing. Removal and Disposal services provided by Meadow Carting are responsible for the reliable and safe curbside removal and disposal of nearly 6000 tons of solid waste annually .
Curbside recycling provided by Meadow Carting collects 600 tons of recycled paper, aluminum and plastic materials annually, helping to reduce the need for raw materials in manufacturing processes. The Garbage District continues to provide improved and expanded services in the area of solid waste removal and disposal, recycling and other projects. |
A SPECIAL NOTE TO GLENWOOD LANDING RESIDENTS
Residents that live in the North Hempstead portion of Glenwood Landing DO NOT receive garbage collection and disposal from the Glenwood-Glen Head Garbage District. They receive solid waste services from the Glenwood Garbage District.
